Subjects can now make comments to CTOS subscribers who make an enquiry on them. The subject thus can tell "his side of the story" at the same time the enquirer makes the enquiry.

As CTOS is not in a position to confirm or verify the contents of the subject's email, such messages will not be part of the CTOS report. That is why it takes the form of an email - a private correspondence between the subject and enquirer. The subject is fully responsible for what he puts in his email.

CTOS does not charge any fee for this subject's comments facility. The possible uses of the "Subject's Comments" are as follows:

Explanation
Subjects can offer comments/explanation about the legal cases against them.

Fraud Prevention
Incidence of identity fraud remains unabated. Lost/stolen cards are used to perpetuate fraud. To protect themselves, those affected may now warn others via Subject's Comments. Subjects may ask the enquirers to call for re-confirmation of any transaction that may implicate the subject in any financial transaction as a borrower or guarantor, etc.

Please note that it is not compulsory for any subject to offer comments, as CTOS will continue to insert settlement remarks to cases without any charge. It is only for those who feel a need to offer more explanations.

You can do it yourself with assistance from us or engage the services of a legal firm. We recommend that you do it yourself to save cost. It is easily done. Just come to the CTOS Service Centre, our trained staff will assist you.
